During the first visit, we prepare your tooth by trimming or shaving the tooth down to make room for the new restoration. We will administer a local anesthetic to help manage any discomfort. After the tooth is trimmed we will take impressions and use a guide to match the color of your teeth. We send the impression and color information to a lab to create your custom crown. It can take up to two weeks to create your crown, but we will provide you with a temporary to help protect the tooth. When the crown is completed, we will schedule you for another appointment to check the fit and cement it in place.
